Looking Forward to April 3rd and April 10th

April 3rd our lesson will be on Fasting and led by Teresa M.

April 10th we will resume our study of the 8 Covenants of God by examining the Noahic Covenant.

To prepare for April 10th I suggest you read Genesis Chapters 6 through 9.

Provisions of the Adamic Covenant

Adamic Covenant

  • Universal Covenant because the entire race is present in Adam
  • Unconditional Covenant

Provisions of the Adamic Covenant

Addressed the serpent, Satan, Eve, and Adam

The Serpent: (Verse 14)
  • All animals Cursed but the serpent most of all
  • Crawl on belly
  • Eat dust (Refer to Isaiah 65:17-25, especially verse 25, and then Isaiah 11:8-9), also Micah 7:16-17
·  
Satan (verse 15)
  • Enmity between the woman and Satan (Satan already hated the woman) and between Satan's seed and her seed
  • Promise of the Redeemer-The Seed of a Woman (Refer to Isaiah 7:14 and Galatians 4:4-5)
    • Bruise heel (Crucifixion)
    • Crush Head (Resurrection and ultimate victory)
      • Hebrews 2:14-1
      • Romans 16:20
      • Rev 20:10
Eve (verse 16)
  • Pain in childbirth multiplied
  • Subject to husband yet desire to dominate

  • Vegetarian diet

The Eight Covenants of God we will be studying in class over time are the following:

I have included some verses related to the covenant with the list for those wanting to look ahead or better yet to study on their own :)
  • The Edenic Covenant conditional (Genesis1:26-31; 2:16-17)
  • The Adamic Covenant (Genesis 3:14-19)
  • The Covenant with Noah (Genesis 8:20-9:27)
  • The Covenant with Abraham (Genesis 12:14; 13:14-17; 15:1-7; 17:1-8)
  • The Covenant with Moses conditional (Exodus 20:1-31:18)
  • The Covenant with Israel (Deuteronomy 30:1-20)
  • The Covenant with David (2 Samuel 7:4-16)
  • The New Covenant (Jeremiah 31:31-33; Hebrews 8:7-13)
